What a great way to fill your belly and warm your kitchen on these crisp, cool nights than with a hearty, healthy soup for your family? Join local farmer and mother, Dawn Donalson CGC, for a fun and informative group workshop reviewing a variety of homemade soup bases and recipes from scratch. You'll discuss variations on ingredients and flavors, the benefits of using traditional meat stocks and bone broth, tips for storing large batches, meal prep, planning ideas and more. You'll be able to apply the information from this class to plan your upcoming holiday meals and put those left-overs to good work nourishing your family with new, delicious creations.
Dawn is the Western Slope Chapter Leader for the Weston A. Price Foundation, and a certified coach for the Gut and Psychological Syndrome diet (GAPS). She uses research from these organizations to help reduce symptoms of indigestion, fatigue, chronic pain, mood swings, and other physical and mental ailments. She believes that food is medicine and specializes in childhood eating habits, using traditional methods to nurture her healthy family.
The cost for this class is $30 per person.
